The short version
Mina writes bedtime stories for families. We keep as little about you as the app needs to work, we never sell it, we never show advertising, and no analytics tracker from another company ever runs on a screen a child uses. You can carry all your tales away or delete everything yourself, from the parents’ study, at any time.
Who we are
Corementis FZE LLC makes Mina. It is a consulting and software company that designs, builds and operates digital, physical and phygital products and services, from the first idea to running the thing day after day; it is registered in the United Arab Emirates, and this app is one of its products. We build products like this one to learn, to explore new technology, and to put working ideas in front of real people and see how they respond; what they earn goes back into the app, the company and the people behind it. We are the data controller for everything described here. Write to us at hello@mina.dk. A person reads these.
What we collect, and why
Before you give us anything. You can read and make tales as a guest. A guest is an anonymous account: a random identifier, the tales you make, and a small cookie that recognises your device. No name, no email. Guest accounts that have not been touched for 90 days are deleted, tales and all.
If you keep your tales. You give us an email address, which we use to sign you in with a link and to send receipts if you subscribe. We never send marketing email without asking first.
Children. A child never signs in and never gives us anything. A parent may add up to two child profiles: a hero name (which need not be a real name, and we say so where it is typed) and an age range. That is all. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app is designed so that it does not have to.
The tales themselves. The chapters the scribe writes for you, the pictures painted for them, and anything you choose to keep. They are yours; we hold them to give them back to you every night, and you can carry them away as one book. The setup behind a tale, the characters, places, moods and other customisations you choose, is used to make it and, with anything that identifies you removed, may be kept by us and used to enrich the app and the Library (the terms say how, under “What stays ours”).
Payment. If you subscribe, Stripe handles your card. We never see the card number; we receive your plan, its status and renewal date, and a Stripe customer reference.
How the app is used. The app keeps its own ledger of what happened: a story was set up, a chapter was read, a picture was tapped, a plan was viewed. Each entry carries your account identifier, never your email. This is first-party and stays on our servers; it is how we see whether the product works, and it is not shared.
Devices. A cookie recognises each device, because an account may be used on up to three. We keep the device’s browser description and when it was last seen.
Who helps us run it
Your data is processed by companies working for us under contract: Supabase (our database, in Frankfurt, Germany), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (the scribe that writes the words), OpenAI (the painter that draws the pictures and the voices that read aloud), Stripe (payments, once the shop opens), and Cloudflare (a quiet check that a visitor is a person, on the first tale only). The text and the setup of a tale are sent to the writer and the painter to make it; your email and your children’s profiles are not.
Where it lives, and for how long
In the European Union (Frankfurt). Guest accounts: deleted after 90 days untouched. Kept accounts: until you delete them. Payment records: as long as the law requires for accounts. The usage ledger: entries older than 13 months are removed.
Your rights
You can see everything (open your tales), carry it away (the study: “Carry my tales away”, one book with every chapter and picture), correct it (edit a profile), and delete all of it (the study: “Delete my account”). Delete means delete: the account, every tale, every picture, the children and the devices go at once, and nothing can be brought back afterwards, by you or by us. Two things do not go: the customisations described above, with everything that identifies you removed, and payment records for as long as the law requires. You may also write to us to exercise any right under the GDPR or the law of your country, and to complain to your data protection authority.
What we do not do
No advertising. No selling or renting of data. No profiling of children. No third-party analytics or tracking scripts inside the app. The marketing page, which only adults visit, may use Google Analytics after you consent; declining changes nothing about the page.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we say so in the study and, if you have given us an email, by email.
